The Second World SME Conference is scheduled to be held at Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center from June 21 to 23, aiming to facilitate communication and development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) worldwide, the conference’s organizers said in a media conference on Thursday in Beijing.
With the support of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and other organizations, this year’s conference was jointly organized by the China Small and Medium Enterprises Association (CASME), the Center for Public Diplomacy and Cultural Exchange, and Beijing Foreign Studies University.
Second World SME Conference Chairman Wang Min said that the association launched the World Small and Medium Enterprises Conference as a platform for global SME exchanges and cooperation, in response to the UN’s decision in 2017 to set June 27 as the “SME Day”.
He said that SME Day highlighted their important role in achieving sustainable development, promoting innovation and creativity, and providing decent work for all.

This year’s conference will focus on building the “Belt and Road” initiative and international cooperation for global SMEs, forums and roundtables on related topics, exhibitions and design negotiations.
The opening ceremony, major forums and numerous sub-forums will be held to promote multi-level communication and communication.
