According to a report released by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products on Thursday, Guangzhou – China’s white goods export (including parts and components) hit a record high last year.
According to the report, the export value of white goods in 2018 was US$75.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%.
The export of large-scale electrical appliances (such as refrigerators and washing machines) used in China continued to increase, and the export of small household appliances began to increase last year.
The EU countries are still strong buyers of white goods in China, accounting for about 45% of China’s total exports, said Shi Yonghe, deputy director of the Chamber of Commerce.
Shi added that more buyers in emerging markets such as ASEAN countries have also contributed to growth.
History said that Chinese white goods companies are expanding their global service network and strengthening the protection of intellectual property in response to growing demand.
