According to customs data, in the first quarter of this year, China’s foreign trade volume increased by 3.7% year-on-year to 7.01 trillion yuan ($1.04 trillion).
According to data from the General Administration of Customs, during this period, exports increased by 6.7% to 3.77 trillion yuan, while imports increased by 0.3% to 3.24 trillion yuan.
Customs spokesman Li Kuiwen told reporters that the steady growth of trade can be attributed to steady growth of the domestic economy and rising import and export prices.
Data show that the trade volume between the United States and the United States from January to March was 815.86 billion yuan, down 11% year-on-year.
