Changsha – At least 1,000 African guests and traders will participate in the first China Africa Economic and Trade Fair held in Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province in central China in June.
The fair is scheduled to take place from June 27th to 29th and will include conferences, forums and exhibitions.
“We hope that African guests can achieve good results through the Expo,” said He Baoxiang, deputy governor of Hunan Province.
According to the organizing committee, a signing ceremony for major economic and trade projects will be held during the exhibition, and a series of forums on agriculture, trade, infrastructure and financing, as well as investment promotion and business negotiation activities will be held.
The fair was launched under the framework of the China Africa Cooperation Forum.
In 2018, the trade volume between Hunan and African countries totaled 2.8 billion U.S. dollars, and it soared more than 50% for the fourth consecutive year. The contractual investment of Hunan companies in Africa is close to $1 billion.
