An official said in Beijing that companies from China and the UK are ideal partners for many countries under the Belt and Road Initiative.
“The UK has taken a very positive attitude towards seizing the opportunities of UK companies, especially our banks, large consulting firms and infrastructure companies,” said Jeff Astor, managing director of the China business of the committee.
Astle said that the UK’s expertise in financial services, banking, legal services, engineering consulting services and other fields provides a wide range of opportunities for UK companies to work with Chinese companies in other countries.
“We benefit from many UK legal jurisdictions in many of these countries, and English and our business have a long history and experience in these countries. This means we are the ideal partner for many of these Belt and Road counties in China,” Ster said.
After long-term viewing and research on the “Belt and Road” initiative, Astle discovered many opportunities offered by BRI, and some excellent projects have been successfully implemented with Chinese partners.
