Since China Railway Express Corporation first introduced freight train services to Europe, more and more international companies are transporting goods overseas at a relatively high speed.
The freight cost of the China Railway Express is almost the same as that of the sea freight. But the former took much less time to reach Lodz in Poland – 14 days instead of 28 days – Xie Zhuoxun is an official of the brand management department of Shenzhen Skyworth RGB Electronics Co., Ltd., which produces Skyworth TVs in Guangdong Province.
China Railway Express – Skyworth Express held a grand departure ceremony on March 29th at the Chengdu International Railway Port in Sichuan Province.
The Skyworth Express has 41 complete containers of TV screens, motherboards and accessories from Shenzhen, and is expected to arrive in Lodz within 14 days.
Tony Wang, chairman of Shenzhen Skyworth RGB Electronics Co., Ltd., said the shipment will sell about 20,000 TV sets in Europe and will be sold in Europe.
The Skyworth Express runs two to four times a month at a fixed time and the frequency may increase.
Starting from Chengdu, Skyworth Express departs from Alashan in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, passes through Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus, and then arrives in Lodz. The total length of the journey is 9,965 km.
The company plans to export 1.5 million TV sets to Europe in 2019 and 2.1 million units in 2021.
Wang said that it will establish supply chain centers in Germany, Poland, Russia and Belarus.
At the departure ceremony, Polish Consul General Chengdu Katartyna Wikowiecka said that the China Railway Express has promoted trade between Poland and China.
The fact that Skyworth Express chose Poland as a destination will further promote the development of rail transport and logistics in Poland. She said that she hopes more Chinese companies and goods will enter Poland.
Since 2013, China Railway Express has left Chengdu 3,300 times. Chengdu offers the highest frequency train service from China to Europe and transports the most freight trains to Europe, including 1,591 trains in 2018.
Other cities in Sichuan have also fulfilled the China Railway Express, which has imported and exported nearly 20.4 billion yuan ($3 billion) through the express train.
First of all, express delivery is mainly for transportation of electronic products and household appliances. The goods it transports have now expanded into cars and accessories, mechanical products, computers and semi-finished products, clothing and footwear, furniture and building materials, catering products, flowers, trees and fruits.
